This seminar provides the fundamentals for implementing BQ-9000, the voluntary quality management system requirements for biodiesel producers and marketers. BQ-9000 couples the foundation of universally accepted quality management systems with the product specification ASTM D 6751.

Implementing a certified quality system takes preparation and commitment. This includes understanding the details of the requirements, the scope of work required to implement these requirements, and the most efficient approaches to managing the registration project. This training session has been developed to facilitate the understanding of the BQ-9000 Quality Management Program.

The current revisions of the BQ-9000 quality management standards for both Producers and Marketers require annual internal audits of your BQ-9000 quality management system - either to achieve or maintain your registration. Effective Internal Auditing will meet that requirement and it will be a significant driving force in the overall effectiveness and improvement processes of your Quality Management System.

• Managers and supervisors that might never perform an audit but could use some help on how to be a better understand what takes place during registration and and surveillance audits

• A combination of lectures regarding auditing processes and hands-on practice internal auditing exercises designed to develop auditing skills
• Information on how to write effective audit notes, nonconformances and reports
